Microchipping

Microchipping is a simple, safe, and effective way to provide permanent identification for your pet. At HVHC, we offer microchipping for both small and large animals, helping ensure they can be identified and returned home if lost.

How It Works

A microchip, slightly larger than a grain of rice, is placed just under the skin using a quick injection. Each chip contains a unique ID number that can be scanned by veterinary clinics, shelters, and animal control to access your contact information. Our microchips also include a built-in thermometer, allowing us to obtain your pet’s temperature with a quick scan during visits rather than using traditional methods.

Reliable Protection

Unlike collars and tags, which can be lost or removed, a microchip provides lifelong identification. It is important to keep your contact information updated with the registry to ensure you can be reached if your pet is found.

Quick & Convenient

We prefer to place microchips during a procedure when your pet is already comfortable, but they can also be implanted during a routine visit. The process is quick, requires no anesthesia in most cases, and provides lasting peace of mind knowing your pet has a permanent form of identification.
